1946 Ford Convertible Well I have just bought this 46 Ford Convertible, I
have always had a
liking for the 46-48 Ford Convertibles never thinking I would
get the
chance to own one. So when this one showed up on Facebook I
had to buy it.
As you can see the Windshield posts have been cut of,
this is normally done
to imported soft top cars as you can then fit another car on
top of it in the container.
Hopefully all the missing parts are in the bottom of the
interior, you might notice that the Convertible
has been fitted with Coupe doors , the door you can see is one
of a pair of top halves of the proper
Convertible doors, even if the front quarter frame is bent.
The rear Fender does have a few dings in it, although
nothing that can't be fixed with a little bit of work
I was looking through Google the other day for 46 Ford
Convertible pics for ideas etc
and the very first pic that comes up is the one above,
funny thing is, it looks exactly the
same as the one I bought here in Australia, except now it is
missing the LH rear Fender
Same rust in the lower rear quarter and same patches welded
on to keep the doors shut,
how about that !!
The Deck or Trunk Lid also has some dings as does the RH
Rear Fender and just behind the B pillar
The Hood looks a bit rough towards the rear, maybe I
will come across a better one in time,
the Grille bars look fine as does the upper mold what I can
see of it,
Can't see much of the Front Fenders but if need be,
better ones have been located
